Getting a Library Card

If you would like to register for a physical library card, please come visit us at the Main Library. You can complete a library card application in person or download and print the form below and bring it with you already filled out. You will also need a valid picture ID and two recent proofs of address to verify your residence in Bradley County.

If you would like to register for a library e-card, please fill out the online form below and allow up to one week for the request to be processed. Library e-cards are able to access all of our online collections, including e-books and the 24/7 databases. A completed library e-card can be transferred to a physical card if you bring in your picture ID and two recent proofs of address.

Proofs of address include but are not limited to driver’s license, fishing and hunting license, gun permit, car and voter registration, checkbook, and bills. These proofs may be physical or digital copies but must include both your name and your address.

Your first library card is free for all Bradley County residents. There is an annual $15.00 out-of-county fee for both physical and e-cards if you do not live in Bradley County, with the exception of Meigs County residents who also have a Meigs County library card.

Minors ages 0-17 can register for a standard library card with a parent or guardian who also has a library card with us. The guardian who signs for the minor takes full responsibility of the card and the items checked out on it, including any overdue fees, damage fees, and lost items that may be accrued. Students ages 14-17 with a valid student ID can register for a student library card without a parent or guardian. Student cards are able to access two items from the physical collection at a time and all of the online collections and databases. Students are still responsible for overdue fees, damage fees, and lost items on their accounts.
